Two women in a living room with a modern dark gray armchair; one sitting with legs crossed and feet on the armrest, the other standing beside her. Both smiling, casually dressed, with a wooden accent wall behind them, large window to the side, and a yellow ottoman and side table nearby.

The Meridian wasn't born from a business plan. It was born from a shared vision of what mental health care could — and should — feel like.

Our founders are therapists, yes. But they're also humans navigating the same messy, beautiful, complicated experience of being alive. They've sat with grief, wrestled with anxiety and burnout, leaned on their relationships, and learned firsthand that asking for help is not weakness — it's wisdom. When they imagined building a practice together, the question wasn't what services should we offer? It was what kind of place do we actually want to exist in the world?

The answer was a practice that felt real. Warm without being performative. Professional without being cold. Built on honesty, genuine connection, and the belief that good therapy should feel like a conversation with someone who truly gets it — because they've done their own work too.

As therapists who prioritize their own wellbeing and continued growth, our founders knew that a values-driven practice has to start from the inside out. Therapists who feel supported show up better for their clients. A culture of openness creates space for real healing.

At The Meridian, we've built the kind of practice we'd want to walk into ourselves — where clients are treated like whole people, met where they are, and genuinely cared for in the session and beyond.
